BioPoxy-36 | Laminating Epoxy Resin from EcoPoxy
Bio-Based, High Performance Laminating Epoxy Resin. BioPoxy 36 has been designed for coating and reinforcing fabric saturation in wood composite boat building. It's durable laminating properties are widely used in several industries. Combined with GelCoat for rigid molds and tooling.
Woodworking it is used for structural construction. It may be used for: all woods laminations, coating, scarfing, strip planking, as well as bonding in form of fillet joints applications when filled with wood flour and silica.

Tips When Using BioPoxy 36
How To Use BioPoxy 36
Mixed epoxy will cure rapidly if left in pail. Have your mold or surface ready, and begin using BioPoxy immediately after mixing. Mix resin and hardener separately for 30 seconds. In a clean, dry container; combine (by volume) 4 parts resin with 1 part hardener, and mix thoroughly for 5 minutes.
The working area should be clean, dry, and free of dust or insects. BioPoxy 36 is compatible with most lay-up fabrics, including fiberglass, carbon-fiber, Kevlar, hemp fiber, and more. It can be applied using a variety of techniques, from rollers to spray applicators. BioPoxy 36 can be used in molds with or without vacuum-bagging, and also works great for repairs.
Reapplying Coats
For best adhesion between layers, wait 2.5-24 hours between applications. If more than 24 hours has elapsed since previous application, it may be necessary to sand with 180 grit sandpaper, then wipe down lint-free cloth and alcohol before continuing.
Recommended Storage
15-25ºC (59-77ºF) with tightly sealed lids.
Shelf Life
Epoxy has a shelf life of about 2 years providing it is properly stored in sealed containers.
